Tiles and sheets shed the rain, but sarking, insulation and ventilation do the quiet work: blocking dust and wind-driven rain, cutting summer heat and stopping condensation from rotting your frame from the inside.
Most pre-2000 Illawarra homes have torn sarking or none at all. We retrofit modern breathable membranes and bulk insulation without removing your whole roof — or layer them into every re-roof as standard.

Layering FAQs
Often, yes. On tile roofs we can lift sections in stages to slide membrane underneath; on metal roofs we retrofit from inside the roof space or combine it with a re-sheet. We'll tell you honestly which approach suits your roof.
Ceiling insulation is the single most effective retrofit for summer heat — most clients report rooms staying 4–8 degrees cooler on hot afternoons, which means far less air-conditioning.
In almost every case, yes. Metal roofs move a lot of heat and moisture into the roof space; paired ridge vents or whirlybirds plus anticon blanket prevent condensation dripping onto your ceiling.
